Quality Assurance

At Wintas, product quality is of paramount importance. It is also one of the reasons why the products of Wintas have gained acceptance across seventy countries, satisfying some of the world’s most demanding customers. Testing for adherence to quality parameters is, therefore, an integral part of the manufacturing process at Wintas. To ensure that the products conform to highest quality specifications, the mill has a well equipped testing lab in plant for Off-Line Quality Inspection. The machines are equipped with On-line monitoring systems to produce “Zero-Defect” yarns. The mill has their own testing equipments like Premier, Mag and others in the Lab. The list of equipments at the testing laboratory is given below. The knitting imperfections and Classimat results are at par with the Uster 5% Standards.

Raw Material

Wintas manufactures yarns of Standard Quality, enabling them to truly establish their mettle in the ever-demanding global market. The mill procures top quality SHANKAR-6 grade Cotton from Gujarat. The selection of the best cotton is done through Fibre Testing Instrument. Every bale of cotton is procured with a view to ensure consistent quality of yarn by the supervision team. The mill performs tests like length, strength and colour fastness, short-term variations and imperfections, yarn elongation and yarn count for checking the properties of raw cotton.
Wintas has a team of skilled technical persons for monitoring and supervision of the department. The mill has the availability of warehouses and stocking facilities for cotton and yarn. Performance of the yarn during warping, weaving, knitting are of paramount importance and due care is taken that the industry achieves best performance at this end. Product is checked and re-checked at every stage to ensure fault-free product performance. The mill uses standard packing method while strong-sea worthy carton boxes and pallets are used for packing this cotton yarn, to avoid damage during transit, loading and unloading.
